Bertrand, 1826), first edition; folio (48.25 cm. tall), [title leaf], 1 plate "Cranes d'Alfourous" not colored and numbered as 1 + 60 plates of views and ethnographic subjects, all present but only 59 of them hand colored (the exception being plate 8 "Vue de la Pointe Venus"); later quarter morocco; binding rubbed and worn with hinges cracked, ex library with a small hand stamp on the verso of every plate, title, skull plate, and a few others have corner stain, about half the plates have noticeable tone toning but never dark, expected age specking but mostly in margins, still overall very good with colors fresh and bright.
